The Gospel of Christ

What is the Gospel of Christ?

Is it sitting in our beautiful magnificent churches, neatly arranged pews, nicely heavily decored pulpits?

Is it about sitting looking self righteous, feeling that we are saved better that the next person seated beside you?

Is it about reading the bible in a year, knowing the verses to unleash, reciting the verses in a flash even though it is just for show off and lip service?

Is it the positions and titles we hold in the different ministries i.e. Reverend, Bishop, Apostle, Evangelist, Pastor, Deacon?

Is it the nice layered suit, priestly garments and the heavy gold necklaces, chains and rings?

Is it about give and get rich quick message and we shout a loud  amen and get excited just at that moment but when we step out we go back to our carnal ways?

Is it about the anointing oil, handkerchief, broom or whatever drama that happens in the churches?

Is it about doing good works and charity?

The Gospel of Christ is about Christ and The Cross

The Gospel of Christ is about repentance Mathew 4:17 ‘From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

The Gospel of Christ is about Faith and Salvation; Romans 10: 9   If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Acts 4:12  ‘There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

The Gospel of Christ is about winning souls; With the power of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, having come down on them as Jesus Christ had promised the disciples, those that heard were amazed and intrigued by what was happening, Peter stood up and preached the gospel and the outcome was amazing Acts 2 : 37 – 39 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Matthew 28:19 – 20  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age. “

The Gospel of Christ is about God’s Love John 3:16   For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Gospel of Christ is the way to the Father ‘ Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The Gospel of Christ is about the Grace and Gift of God    Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

The Gospel of Christ is about forgiveness of sins Ephesians 1:7-8“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.”

The Gospel of Christ is about deliverance 1 John 5:4-5  for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

The Gospel of Christ is about healing 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”

The Gospel of Christ is about Freedom 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

The Gospel of Christ is about the Power in His Resurrection John11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

This is the Gospel of Christ and The Cross and which he commissioned us to do. It was a command, because without those that have been called in his name reaching out then souls will perish and we will be accountable when we stand before him to give an account….

Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

As we do our own personal prayers, meditation, and fellowshipping in our churches, let us remember that the harvest is ready but the laborers are few, where are you standing with spreading the Gospel of Christ?

The heartbroken, the crushed in spirit, the one who has lost hope, the one still in the dark they all need Christ Jesus, we all need Jesus Christ

  • The Bread of Life
  • The Light of the world
  • The Living Water
  • Prince of Peace
  • Mighty God
  • Everlasting Father
  • King of Kings

Jesus Christ  has given us a right to become children of God, sons and daughters of God and co heirs to the Kingdom of God.

We have a duty to reach out through the Gospel of Christ in Him is LOVE that is indescribable and amazing.

In him there’s no condemnation

John 7:38: Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

May a REVIVAL arise for winning souls for Jesus Christ and the gain in the Kingdom of heaven all over the nations and the world.

Crucification, death, Resurrection and ascension and He is coming back as King to judge the living and the dead and to carry His own home to the Father!

Let’s go out to the world with this message today, Mathew 4:17 ‘From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

He loves us too much to let us perish!

The Greatest is LOVE
