ODM supporters disown claims of Aisha Jumwa leaving ODM

Supporters of the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) in Malindi have refuted claims that the area lawmaker Aisha Jumwa Katana has left the party due to her recent statement in supporting Deputy President William Ruto for Presidency come 2022.
Led by the chairman of the ODM party in Malindi Mr Hosea Chome, the supporters dismissed asserts that went around the media over the weekend that Aisha Jumwa has been violating the norms of the party by her declaration of supporting deputy president William Ruto in 2022, terming it as her constitutional right and it cannot be matched as there are still four years before general elections.
“The asserts raised by those calling themselves ODM die hard supporters are not enough to crucify Aisha Jumwa, we elected her to serve us and we believe she will take us towards heights of prosperity in the next four years, those who protested over the weekend were paid”, said Chome.
However according to Boaz Kiiri one of the supporters claimed that, the weekend protests may have been facilitated by some Mombasa politicians who are aiming at finishing her politically.
Early last Friday speaking at the Malindi law courts, Kilifi County deputy ODM leader Teddy Mwambire also disapproved possibilities of Aisha Jumwa leaving ODM saying she is still a member of the party.
