NCIC plan to curb hate speech.

National Cohesion and Integration Commission is set to distribute over 300 recorders in a bid to reduce hate speech rate in Kenya.

This is according to the CEO Hassan Mohamed after a meeting with several stakeholders.

Mohamed blamed journalists for avoiding to report hate speech issues and said that the commission is ready to distribute recorders in each county that will see every county having two officers on the watch.

Speaking at the same function IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba seconded  Mohamed’s statement and  added that the press have a responsibility to disclose  those who use hate speech language during this period when the political temperature is high in the country.
