It’s a seven Judge bench on a big day rule on poll petition

The Supreme Court is expected on Friday to deliver a judgment on a petition filed by the National Supper Alliance (NASA) against Presidential poll results.

The seven Judge bench led by Supreme Court president Justice David Maraga will now analyze all submissions from the interested parties, thereafter arrive at a maximum conclusion where the verdict will be issued.

However in the event that the Judges uphold the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, then he will be sworn in September 7th seven days after the ruling. On the other hand if the Court nullifies the election, the electoral body will therefore hold elections in 90 days.

As Kenyans are eager waiting for the big day, security has been put standby across the Country in ensuring peace is fostered.

Submissions at the Supreme Court were concluded on Tuesday night where the electoral body (IEBC) defended the technology used in the August polls.
